It is with immense pride that TECHO announces it will, from 1st January 2021, bear the name Ahrend, thus sealing the company’s position as a full member of the Royal Ahrend group.
As the culmination of a process that started in 2008, when Ahrend acquired its 100% ownership interest, TECHO and its subsidiaries will, from 1st January 2021, trade under the name Ahrend. The TECHO brand of furniture will be preserved, alongside the Ahrend, Gispen and Presikhaaf brands.
It is with immense pride that we will now bear the name Ahrend, sealing our position as a full member of the Royal Ahrend group. Royal Ahrend has long been at the forefront of furnishing the office workplace environment. The 1980s, and 90s, when open-plan offices took hold, were a golden age for the company. Ahrend’s iconic furniture designs were selected for prestigious projects around the world by renowned architects, such as Sir Norman Foster. The group is now a recognised leader in the field of sustainability and workplace wellness.
The end of one era naturally means the beginning of another. Our sales operations will remain the same, our customers will be dealing with the same people, but our customers and partners will enjoy the benefits of dealing with one of the largest and most prestigious office furniture suppliers in Europe. There will also be a huge investment into the Prague production facility. It will become a production hub for the entire Ahrend group and will utilise Industry 4.0 technology. The result for us will be greater flexibility and higher quality, enabling us to better serve our customers.
