Few orders are as interesting and prestigious as those that involve cooperation with internationally renowned British architect Eva Jiricna. The new five-storey university centre right in the centre of Zlín was built between 2006 and 2008 and it houses the university library and administration offices. It features the easily recognisable style of the famous Zlín born architect.
Eva Jiřičná has gained her reputation primarily from her interior designs with their emphasis on metal and glass elements and elegance. TECHO is proud to have been selected as the supplier of furnishings for the university library with five hundred study places. TECHO fully respected the customer’s project brief and successfully furnished the library (Horizont and Esprit desks, Platform benches, and Novum accessories). This represented the largest installation of the Platform system in 2008. The building also forms part of a congress centre and we believe that TECHO has made a modest but important contribution to the educational and social functions of this modern centre.
