TECHO has handed over its 10th hospital project

PRAGUE, 12th December 2008 - On November 24th, Techo finished and handed over the project for the Makokou Regional Hospital, in Gabon. This brought the number of completed hospital projects in Africa to 10. In addition to this project, another two hospitals were finished in 2008: the Tchibanga Regional Hospital and Lambarene Regional Hospital, both also in equatorial Gabon. 7 out of the 9 regional cities of Gabon now have hospitals equipped with interiors from TECHO.

All the interior equipment for hospitals in equatorial Africa has been adapted to the tropical environment, and are resistant to extreme humidity and high temperatures both during transportation and use. Installation was managed by a Czech-Slovak team. The majority of the team have participated in the installation of all 10 projects since 2000.
