TECHO supports Centrum Paraple
Close to our Hostivar site – in Prague 10 Malešice – is the Centrum Paraple, which is a non-profit organisation helping people who find themselves wheelchair bound due to spinal damage return to „normal“ life. Zdeněk Svěrák, president of the Centrum Paraple supervisory committee, was involved right from the start when this rehabilitation and advisory centre was established in 1994. It has already helped thousands of people come to terms with their difficult life situations. The new extension to their building houses a modern fitness and rehabilitation centre and workshop, as well as offices and a consultation room. Thanks to financial support from the public, companies and the state, Centrum Paraple in 2010 ordered furnishings for this administration space from TECHO. We supplied Arkus A and Horizont desks, wooden tambour cabinets and Sidiz conference chairs.
In the spring of 2011 the second stage took place, and this time TECHO decided to donate its furniture as a gift. In this way we showed that we appreciate people who are able to make sacrifices to help others and we are happy that in this small way we could contribute to a good cause …
