TECHO receives the National Quality Award

PRAGUE, 12 November 2009 – As part of this year’s annual National Quality Award, interior company TECHO was the winner in the business sector. Yesterday evening in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle TECHO received the award EXCELLENT COMPANY from the Czech Prime Minister Jan Fischer and the president of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech, Kim Eok-Jo.

„I am glad that within the National Quality Award evaluation programme, which lasted almost the entire year, we received this prestigious award. For us it is confirmation of the high quality of services we provide,“ stated Jiří Kejval, Managing Director of TECHO, who accepted the award.

The National Quality Award programme is based on a rigorous and objective verification of the effectiveness and quality of all activities of an organisation and their evaluation in terms of customer satisfaction and economic success Program.

The National Quality Award for companies and organisations is awarded annually in eighty countries according to the same rules of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). Winners and finalists are presented with their awards by senior government figures and the Czech Council for Quality.

TECHO has already received a range of awards and certificates that testify to the quality of the company’s business activities. These relate, for example, to quality management, the environment, health and safety at work and verification of the origin of wood material.

National Duality Award CR – The National Quality Award programme is organised in the Czech Republic by the Association for the Awarding of Quality and is intended for the business and public sector. The criteria according to which businesses and organisations are evaluated include, for example, management work, an overview of customer and employee satisfaction, the company’s environmental performance, as well as a company’s financial results and the goals of individual organisations. The winners of the National Awards can then enter the Europe-wide competition EFQM Excellence Award.

European Foundation for Quality Management is a non-profit organisation that was established in 1988 by fourteen European companies. Today it has over 700 members.
