TECHO GROWS STRONGER DESPITE THE CRISIS
PRAGUE, 10 February 2010 – Interior company TECHO announced 2009 sales of 975 million CZK with a profit of 19 million CZK. Despite the drop in demand caused by the global crisis, and also an unprecedented drop in prices, the company last year managed to significantly increase its market share, not just in the Czech Republic, but in Central and Eastern Europe as a whole.
TECHO PLACED IN THE CZECH 100 BEST 2009
PRAGUE, 30th November 2009 – At the Prague Castle on Friday 27th November the official results of the Czech 100 Best 2009 competition took place. In the category Inventiveness – Application – Export – Profit, TECHO was placed seventh.
TECHO RECEIVES THE NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD
PRAGUE, 12 November 2009 – As part of this year’s annual National Quality Award, interior company TECHO was the winner in the business sector. Yesterday evening in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle TECHO received the award EXCELLENT COMPANY from the Czech Prime Minister Jan Fischer and the president of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech, Kim Eok-Jo.
TECHO FURNISHED THE INTERIOR OF THE NEW NATIONAL TECHNICAL LIBRARY
PRAGUE, 16 September 2009 – Interior company TECHO worked on the interior fit-out of the new modern National Technical Library building. It furnished the offices, open atrium, cafes, kitchens as well as individual study rooms. The order value was in the region of 60 million crowns.
TECHO EXPANDS ITS ACTIVITY IN CROATIA
PRAGUE, 11 September 2009 – After Romania, TECHO has delivered a second project for Huawei Technologies, a world leader in the area of telecommunications, this time in Croatia. This is one of the first significant orders for the newly established branch, Techo Adria, apart from orders for key accounts Erste Bank and Raiffeisen.
TECHO MAKES “GREEN” ENERGY PAY
PRAGUE, 12 August 2009 –TECHO, the leading Czech producer of office furniture, released the results of a pilot solar energy generation scheme. The results confirmed the viability of the investment. The panels supplied up to 70% of the background electricity needs of the site – i.e. outside working hours. When production is in full operation, the solar panels can produce 2% of all electricity consumed.
NEW PRODUCTION HALL WILL OPEN SOON AT TECHO
PRAGUE, 28 July 2009 – On 1 August 2009, TECHO will bring into operation a new hall for wood production. It will primarily be used for the production of standardised bank and client counters.
TECHO HAS A NEW SHOWROOM IN ROMANIA
PRAGUE, 7 July 2009 - The new showroom opened for business in the Romanian capital in the spring of this year. It is located in the Sema Parc business centre on Splaiul Independentei street in the centre of Bucharest.
