TECHO is a leader in the provision of comprehensive services for the furnishing of commercial interiors in Central and Eastern Europe. It is also an important producer of office furniture in the Czech Republic. Since 2005 it is part of the major Dutch furniture group ROYAL AHREND NV.
On the domestic market TECHO’s leading position is reflected in the successful delivery of the largest and most demanding orders, such as the interior fit out of the Czech National Bank in Prague on na Příkopě, fit out of SAZKA ARENA (now O2 ARENA) in Prague Vysočany, the new terminal at Prague International Airport, the headquarters of ČEZ (TECHO’s largest order ever) and other important projects.
TECHO, with an annual turnover in excess of 1 billion CZK, is the largest company of its type, not just in the Czech Republic, but also commands a leading position in the CEE markets as a whole. In recent years the larger part of its production output has been exported. The export proportion will continue to grow as TECHO strengthens its position as an international company.
TECHO products are available on three continents – Europe, Asia and Africa, with the most important market being Central and Eastern Europe. Subsidiary companies of TECHO in Romania and Slovakia are among the largest importers of office furniture in their markets. Significant sales are also achieved in Hungary, despite the strong competition from local and Austrian producers.
The TECHO brand has also entered the markets of Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine and other countries where the Austrian banking group, ERSTE, has branches, TECHO being their exclusive supplier of branch furniture. In cooperation with the largest Czech financial group PPF, TECHO is entering the huge Russian market. TECHO products can also be found in Africa. As part of aid to developing countries, TECHO supplies furniture to hospitals in Gabon, and in 2007 also Ghana. Orders for Procter & Gamble have seen TECHO products also delivered to Cairo, Egypt.
West European markets are represented mainly by Great Britain, which after the Czech Republic is the largest market for TECHO products.
